Window Sash Repairs

Window sashes need to be inspected regularly for signs of mold, mildew, and damage. You can reduce future repair costs by catching these issues early on before they become too much.

The sash is an interior frame that moves upwards and downwards in windows that open. This article will teach you how to make several easy repairs to your sash.

Weather Stripping

Wood window sashes add an elegant look to your home and, when properly maintained, can last for a long time. However, they can be damaged or degraded over time, due to exposure and normal wear. Sash repair experts can restore windows back to their original condition and maintain their appearance much longer than replacement windows.

Weather stripping is the most important thing to address when repairing windows with sash. It's on both the frame and sash. It can cause drafts if damaged or is loose. Sash Weights

They function as counterbalances, which allows you to open and close the window without having to use mechanical or electrical devices.
